The last month of our work on XRONOS focused on the expansion of the dataset. In this turn, we have performed a re-import from publicly available sources, which has more than doubled the dataset, and significantly expanded the spatial extent of our data collection.
While the dataset is still very Eurocentric, we are pleased to announce that we can now hold significantly more data from Africa, South America, and Australia. We can now point to 92,192 datasets.
In the near future, our task will be to improve this dataset. To this end, we have introduced a revision history for the datasets that is transparent to the user and allows to track how the data has been corrected and moderated. This feature will hopefully be available within the next two months.
